Yeah! Its common sense dude! Lets keep the 50USD in pocket when one has job rather than contributing to a cause that might help keep the job or makes voice heard when a bad bill comes out.. Choice is yours and your friends. If you/your friends are expecting a GC because you paid 50$ towards this effort, I dont know what to tell. If you/your freinds are expecting to hold xyz accountable for every single penny of the donation, that is not the attitude that will bring US together.
Ask your friends to understand the word lobbying and advocacy efforts. How much work it takes to hire a firm and get strategic advise? How much a firm that advises strategically and positions the issue strategically charges per hr? DId your checks get cashed and receipts issued.
I heard from a friend,he got a receipt but checks not cashed yet.
The checks were submitted by my attorney and I am sure they might have cashed but I can not say for sure.

We posted our 485 application to Texas service center on May 31st and on 6th June they mailed us the receipt number for me and my wife.

If Labor Certification and I-140 Approval Notices are a property of the Employer, how the "Beneficiary" is supposed to invoke 'AC-21' for changing jobs in the future without having the approval notices? - My employer has a policy of NOT giving out approval notices of LC and I-140.
for AC-21 (if you choose to inform USCIS: its recommended, but some people dont do it) you only need to provide a letter explaining you are porting, and include a copy of your new employers offer letter. You provide receipt number of your 485. I-140/LC copies not needed. If you are trying to port after 6 years of H1, and need to extend H1 with new employer, thats when you need copy of I-140 approval notice or LC. If your employer does not provide it, I think you will be forced to use AC-21 with EAD in that case.

My problem is simple.. do not misrepresent the facts, which is what seems to be the case here.. How can you have a H1 and not get paid??? Do you have any other logical reasoning? If the person has H1 and is not getting paid then there can only be two lawful situations: 1) person is on leave of absence, which is without pay or 2) has not yet started the job.
To answer your questions, yes my wife came here on H4 but she just did not approach a consultant for a job.. instead she went to school, got her degree, applied for jobs, gave interviews and finally got a job. BTW her company does not work with consultants, as it is not an IT company but a finance Big4. They used their own attorney to file for her H1. As luck could have, her application was not even considered as it did not come in the lottery draw. This happened twice.. Later we got our EAD and she started working with it. And yes, I know few more people who went through the same thing.. and all of them went to school in the US.

Could someone please, help me with the following situation; HERE IS MY EXPLANATION:
....My permanent employment is in Massachusetts...so from what I read ( from I-140 si I-485 instructions) my permanent employment which is Massachusetts...does not correspond to the Nebraska Service Center...it corresponds to the Texas Service Center.
